Ostre Bardo II The second part of my trip on this quiet Sunday morning. After my first visit I took another small road west of Ostre Bardo. That road was horrible for the car! I stopped near the border close to borderpoles 2258. On the Polish side fields and meadows with storcks and kraanvogels. Really nice area! |
Borderpoles 2257 From 2258 where I parked the car I had to take a detour to reach the borderpoles. It was not easy to take a picture of them, there were some bushes standing in the way. |
Borderpoles 2257 area Now in close-up where you can read the numbers. After these pictures back to 2258. |
Borderpoles 2258 Back to the ending road. The usual bareer and the usual warning sign. I didn't see a fence here on the Russian side. |
Borderpoles 2258 A closer look at the sandpit and the borderpoles 2258. The usual image. |
Wooden bridges on Russian side Between the borderpoles 2258 and 2259 I saw these little wooden bridges on the Russian side. They didn't look well maintained but I think the Russian border guards have to use them during their border inspection tours. |
Between 2258 and 2259 A peaceful landscape: the green fields. In the middle the borderpoles 2258 and at the right of it, my car. Hardly to believe that here is the border between Russia and the EU. |
Borderpoles 2259 The last poles here. To respect the 15 meter zone, I had to take this picture from behind some reed. Through the gap in the bushes you can see again some Russian fences. From here I walked back to the car and weent further westward. Between here and the little village Szczurkowo the road comes very close to the border.
