Grzechotki II
The second part of the Saturday morning trip. I wanted to drive from Grzechotki to Peciszewo to do the bordermarkers
2395 until 2397 or 2398. The map showed there was a road between these two villages, but the road was too bad. After 2 kilometers I
had to return I was afraid the Toyota Yaris would get stuck in the mud. It meant I had to take a detour. Then I took a wrong way so it
costed me half an hour. I arrived via a small road at the borderpoles 2397. Again this was an old thoroughfare, but now of course
closed. Through the fields I reached 2395 and 2396. |

Borderpoles 2395 First I walked to 2395. It became sunny again. Always the same view in this ares: two borderpoles, and the Russian side coverder with woods. |

A view to the east A view into the little valley where the river Omaza crosses the border. It would have been impossible to cross it without entering the 15 meter zone. |

Borderpoles 2396 A few hunderd meters back this nice pair with the small real bordermarker in the middle. |

Small road at 2397 The old thoroughfare, but now of course closed. The road here is only used for inspection SUVs. Here I parked my car hoping not to be noticed by any camera or alarming system. I think I succeeded, during my whole morning trip the border guards didn't visit me. I could easily pass the border and take a picture from the forbidden side, but I didn't want to take the risk. |

Borderpoles 2397 On the left of the road. Notice the sensor on the wooden pole on the left. I have seen this unit on several places. When you pass it, they give an horrible alarming noice. I wonder if they have a connection to any other active warning system. I didn't try it and kept on safe distance. After this trip I went more westward. The next page here leads to the borderpoles 2253 - 2270 near Bartoszyce, a hunderd kilometers to the east. |
