Bordermarkers 341 - 350
The border makes a strange 'V' in the straight line. We are passing the border crossing Vel'ke Slemence.
I was here in 2018 and in 2021.

Starting in Vel'ke Slemence, ending near Ptrukša

Border marker 341
The second pair marking the 'V'. Cameras in all directions.
he Ukrainian border marker lost it's colors'. Point with the mouse on the picture for a close-up.
You can also see the detection-cables in the fence.
Here I had o return, there was an area of the Border Police that I couldn't enter.

EE-RU 20160415 Border crossing Vel'ke Slemence
The smallest border crossing between Ukraine and Slovakia. Only for pedestrians. The atmosphere is pleasant. The Ukrainian staff and the Slovakian staff are close to each other and stay in direct contact. Not many people cross the border here.
At the left you see a kind of a old wooden gate, looks like a monument. This one is on the Slovakian side. A similar copy is on the right on the Ukrainian side of the border.

Border marker 341/1
This pair of markers is located north of the border crossing carries the number 341/1. The arrow on the second picture shows the position of the next BM, 342.

During my visit in 2018 I couldn't find this marker but during our October 2021 trip I asked the Border Police. They showed us the tile which is border marker 342. It's on the pavement in the border area where you walk if you return from Ukraine to Slovakia. It's the only border marker on this border which contains only one stone.

At this bordercrossing I was welcomed by two friendly and helpful Border Police Officers. They allowed me to make some pictures in the area and to walk from here to the next border markers.
The border runs between the fence on the right and the information board.
The wooden gate is on the Ukrainian side.

South of the bordercrossing. The officers allowed me to go to the other side of the fence. However, I had to walk close to the fence.
During my second trip in October 2021 things were a bit different. The Ukrainian staff had some doubts if we could go here to take pictures, they thought we were journalists. In the end however it was fine for them as well but we were not allowed to take a picture of the tower at BM 343.

Border marker 343
The last angle of the 'V' in the borderline.
342 is really not there, I couldn't have missed it. On the background an old Russian watchtower. It's now habited by an Ukrainian doll.

EE-RU 20160415 Border marker 344
It's again a straight line. I'm still on the the 'wrong' side of the fence.

EE-RU 20160415 Border marker 345
The fence ended somewhere here.

EE-RU 20160415 Border marker 346
A nice strip. On the background you see some water. Here I returned to the bordercrossing Vel'ke Slemence.
The Border Police officers told me the way to their colleagues Mat'ovske and told they were waiting for me there. (See previous page 321-333)

EE-RU 20160415 Border marker 347
This one and the next two markers I visited from the small village Ptrukša. It was more convenient and the markers are situated quiet far from eachother.

EE-RU 20160415 Puddles in between
Hugh puddles which I had to cross or to avoid. But of course I got wet feet.

EE-RU 20160415 Border marker 348
Similar to most other markers here...

EE-RU 20160415 Border marker 349
The last one for now here.

EE-RU 20160415 Pool
This water I couldn't cross without high boots.
So during the 2018 trip I returned to my car in Ptrukša.
Border marker 350
This one I visited in October 2021 when we parked our car south of Ptrukša.
