The monotonous part between Maťovské Vojkovce and Veľké Slemence. Very dull, but also part of this border.

Rail border crossing Maťovské Vojkovce - Oezjhorod. Not many trains here.
This picture is taken from the northern part of the railway line.
At the marshalling yard of Maťovské Vojkovce trains can change bogies from 1520 mm (Russian) gauge to 1435 mm (European) gauge.

From Ruská there was a small road to the border. In the earlier days you could cross the border there but now the road was dead ending. Only used by the Border Police and farmers. I Parked my car there and hiked from here up to 341 and back.

I approached the border crossing Vel'ke Slemence. To avoid easy illegal border crossing, the Slovakians placed high fences. Of course I took the right part of the fence.
