Map 211-220
Still between Inovce and Petrovce.

Between 212 and 213
Suddenly there is a real 'border strip' on the Slovakian and the Ukrainian side. We didn't see that before here.
In case you don't know: the border strip is a ploughed strip without vegetation to detect illegal border crossing.
Footprints can be traced and recognized
easily. These strips are used on most 'East'-borders I visited.

|
Border marker 213
The strip is a bit thinner here and runs over the Ukrainian side of the border.
Here again a small tri-angulated border stone between the two border markers.
|
|
Border marker 214
Here the strip only runs over the Slovakian side. Of course we didn't touch or enter it.
How long would this strip continue?

Border marker 216
Already the end of the strip.
|
|
Border marker 217
No more strip. The ground becomes more rocky here.
|
|
Border marker 218
We had to climb to this small hill, which is aside of the inpsection path.

View from border marker 218
A view to the south.

Border marker 219
The last one for today. The fastest way back to our starting point is the same way. Another 10.73 kilometers in
3 hours and 10 minutes.
We will start the last day of this visit at BM 250 and then walk back to 220.

|
Border marker 220
In fact the last border marker we visited during this trip as we went 'against the stream' on this last day.
