Szczurkowo II Last part of the last trip in this area. It was easy to reach 2265 until 2268 as they were close to the road. After visiting these, I drove to the little villag Szczurkowo, well known as 'Storck village'. In this small village there live many storcks. But I wasn't there for the storcks. I found 2270 easy, it was at the end of the road in the village. I tried to go to 2269 but that wasn't easy. When I walked in the village a car of the border guards arrived. Two border guards came to me. They already knew who I would be. I had to wait for some one who would find out if I had passed the 15 meter zone, which I had not. After 20 minutes they let me go. I wanted to go to Warszkajty, some 10 kilometers to the west to see some last borderpoles. But that didn't work. A car was following me all the time. They wouldn't leave me alone. Why were they so afraid af me? It felt like a cat and mouse game. One mouse against thousand cats. I decided to go back to the west and looked what was happening. The car followed me for almost an hour. When I stopped to get fuel, he stopped as well and kept some distance. After almost an hour when I was in Lidzbark Warminski, far away from the border zone, he turned back. What to do now? Challange them again? No, I went to Krysna Morska, maybe I could visit the 300 meter small border zone there.

	Borderpoles 2265 The last one close to the road. Now the the road makes a small curve to the left and leaves the border.
	A hide Some ten meters from the border strip I found this hide, a sort of hollow. First I thought it was made for hunters. But I later I thouhgt such a hide makes no sense for hunters. When they shoot an animal on the borderstrip, how can they get it? The border guards who kept me in Szczurkowo found this picture on my camera. They were very interested and asked me a few times where I had made that picture. "Outside of the 15 meter line" I answered. Maybe it's a hide for border guards.

	Borderpoles 2267 I approach the little village Szczurkowo now. For 2267 and 2268 I parked my car outside the village and walked over a small paths and some meadows to 2267 and 2268.

	Borderpoles 2270 The dead ending road in Szczurkowo. Once this road led to Soldatovo and Klimovka in Russia. Long ago. Now a bareer and a fence and warning signs block the path.
	Borderpoles 2270 Well guarded here! A fence, a camera... The meaning of the 'mushroom' left of the Polish borderpole is not clear to me. This is my last pictures of the borderpoles between Poland and Russia...
	In the village, end of tour ... when I tried to reach 2269, this old man started talking to me. Unfortunately I couldn't understand a word of what hes said. But many times he said the words Putin, kurwa and Rosjanie. I couldn't get rid of him. Then I saw a this green Fiat Panda passing by. After some minutes it returned and stopped near us. I knew that would happen. The interrogatory started again. The old man was interfering al the times, although the border guards tried to send him away. Their Idź stąd! Idź stąd! didn't help. Anyhow, no penalty today for entering the 15 meter zone. The rest of the story you can read above.
